What We Are

A development program
for culinary talent.

Burnt Legacy is built on the conversation chefs have with each other — and expanded into a real program with real deliverables that prepare you for the rooms ownership is putting you in.

We're not a brand agency. We're not a publicist. We're not a coach. We're built by culinary professionals for the culinary talent climbing the same ladders we climbed.

Including organizational programs for hotel groups, restaurant companies, and hospitality investment firms. Built for your talent pipeline →

Sound Familiar?

You have the coat.
Not the recipe.

You earned the credibility. The television. The reviews. The recognition. But nobody handed you the business. That part you're figuring out alone — and it's costing you.

1

You can't remember the last vacation you actually took.

Because the moment you leave, it falls apart. You're not running a restaurant. The restaurant is running you. That's not ownership — that's a very expensive job.

The Trap
2

Speaking opportunities are coming in. You have no one-sheet or reel.

The credibility is real. The infrastructure isn't. Someone asks for your materials and you send a PDF you made at midnight and a YouTube link that doesn't do you justice. You know it's not right. So do they.

The Gap
3

You signed the lease. Nobody told you that made you CEO.

Ownership appointed you to a job you never trained for the moment you put pen to paper. You're running a business in a chef coat. The boardroom requires a different uniform.

The Moment
The Philosophy

Mise en place
for the chef who
owns the room.

You know mise en place. Everything in its place before the first ticket drops. The kitchen doesn't run without it. Neither does your business.

"Most chef-owners have a recipe for every dish on the menu and no recipe for the business. That gap is where legacies get burnt before they get built."

Burnt Legacy closes that gap. We don't represent you. We don't take a commission. We don't have a claim on what you build. We prepare you for the rooms and conversations you're walking into — then step back.

I

Preparation, Not Representation

We don't take a cut. We don't have ongoing leverage over your career. We build the thing and hand it to you. What you do with it is yours.

II

Finite. Deliverable-Driven. Yours.

This isn't a retainer. It isn't a membership. It's a defined engagement with real deliverables you own at the end. No dependency. No ongoing fees.

III

Peer to Peer. Not Guru to Student.

The authority here comes from lived proximity — not accolades. Thirty years in professional kitchens. The conversations that happen at the table after the cameras leave.

IV

By Application. We Choose Too.

Burnt Legacy works with chefs who are ready to be honest about where they actually are. Not every application moves forward — and that's the point.

Chef
The Coat You Have

The Chef Coat

You have the talent. The technique. The credibility. The recognition. That part is not the problem.

The problem is nobody told you that talent without infrastructure is just a very expensive hobby. You can cook. Can you run the business that the cooking built?

CEO
The Coat You Need

The Suit for the Room

The room where ownership decisions get made speaks a different language — brand, revenue, systems, strategy, legacy. That's the suit.

Burnt Legacy doesn't ask you to take off the chef coat. We teach you to add the suit. Two coats. Both yours. Neither one borrowed. That's what ownership actually looks like.

Who We Work With

The
Brigade

We work with culinary talent at three points on the bridge between chef identity and CEO clarity. Each level requires a different kind of preparation.

I
Chef de Cuisine

Still in chef identity

Running the kitchen. Answering up. May own the paperwork but operates entirely as a chef. The bridge is visible — it hasn't been crossed yet.

We begin with brand discovery. Who are you when nobody's watching the line?

II
Executive Chef

Running the operation

Credentials earned. Exposure building. Needs infrastructure built around what's already been earned. Often still inside someone else's house, but the move is coming.

We build the systems, the brand, and the materials to own your own room.

III
Owner / CEO

Operating at 50 feet

Crossed the bridge. The kitchen runs without you daily. Now building wealth, legacy, and eventually a successor CEO who can carry what you built.

We prepare you for the rooms and conversations that come at this level.

What Gets Built

The work.
All of it.

Every engagement is built from what we find in discovery — not from a template. These are the deliverables. The investment comes at the end, after you know exactly what you're getting.

Discovery Session

We find the story underneath the résumé. The origin, the thread, the thing that makes you specific — not what you've done, but who you are when you walk into a room.

Brand Kit

Visual identity, voice, positioning, and the language that travels with you into every room. Built from the discovery. Never from a template.

Speaker Materials

We build the proof that arrives in the room before you do. One-sheet, bio, talking points, topic framing — not paperwork, but the case that closes the booking before they finish reading the email.

Website (Optional)

Built for the rooms you're walking into, not for likes. A platform that converts the right people and tells the wrong ones this isn't for them.

30 / 60 / 90 Follow-Ups

Three check-ins after delivery. Not to hold your hand — to make sure what we built is actually working in the real rooms you're walking into.

The Conversation

Peer to peer. The one that happens at the table where you say what you actually can't say anywhere else. That's the one that changes things.

One-time engagement. No retainer. No commission. No claim on what you build after. The investment is discussed when we talk — after we know it's the right fit.

The lesson I paid for.

I lost real money learning what good representation looks like — by paying people for everything it isn't. I wrote it all down. Get the guide free. No pitch. No catch. Just what I wish someone had handed me.

What I learned spending
$50K the wrong way.

The guide covers what to look for, what to avoid, and how to build the infrastructure you actually need before you hire anyone to represent you.

No spam. This is the beginning of a real conversation.

Apply to Stage

We
choose
too.

This isn't a checkout page. It's an application. Tell us the truth about where you are. We'll tell you the truth about whether we're the right fit.

If we are, we set up a conversation. If we're not, we'll say so — and point you toward what might be.

We respond to every application within five business days. Not every application moves forward — and that's the point.

Every application is read. Not every application moves forward.

"Ownership hires the CEO the moment you sign the lease. Most chef-owners don't know this. They keep doing the chef job — the only one they trained for — while the CEO job goes undone. That gap is where legacies get burnt before they get built."
